Who we are?
Nordic Moonlight TY was established in the village of Loobu as a subsidiary of Lahemaa Hiking Centre, which was established in 2000 in the first national park in Estonia - Lahemaa National Park. The family enterprise stemmed from the interest in nature of Yllar Hendla, a forester, manager and owner of the enterprise. Nordic Moonlight was established to promote nature friendly lifestyle and use of natural materials in building. Teaching children to care about nature and setting up bird houses with people in forests of National Park, making mushroom logs and teaching people – all this is everyday work of Nordic Moonlight, but not only.
Trees have an important place in the nature. Nordic Moonlight makes traditional items of and related to wood for a nature friendly person – bird feeders, bird houses, mushroom logs, wooden shingles and roofing shakes as traditional wooden roofing materials. All this is like a circle around tree – from planting trees and setting up bird houses in the forest with children, to shingles on the roof or decaying mushroom log with oyster mushrooms growing on it.
